Handcrafted Films launch a new film for Amnesty International UK. Following a group of student activists as they march through central London protesting on behalf of political prisoners in Burma. The film, which is being launched countrywide in universities, aims to help guide students in preparing and running peaceful demonstrations in the UK.
Amnesty students took to the streets of London to take action for the Generation 88 Student Group of political prisoners in Burma. This was part of Action For Change 2009, Amnesty’s annual student activism training event, where students learn skills to take back to their campuses. The ‘Junta Takeover’ Burma action in this film is now being replicated in universities across the UK as Amnesty ramps up its Burma campaign in the run up to the probable general election this autumn.
